Step by step Upgrade R12.2.0 to R12.2.4

 
Oracle E-Business Suit Upgrade from R12.2.0 to R12.2.4

Please perform the activity step by steps as mentioned the below:

In Our case, EBS R12.2.0 base version is install by startCD version 12.2.0.46,
So we have need to apply the below patches sequence according to Doc. ID 1594274.1

Note:- Before starting database upgrade, please confirm the below steps.

1.) Application should be down.

2.) Database should be down.

3.) export PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/OPatch:$PATH

4.) which opatch

5.) Skip all those patch which are already applied

check by below command:

$ opatch lsinventory

DATABASE Patch 12.2.0.47 and 12.2.0.48 & not included in any startCD

Section 3: Application Tier Technology Patches and Bug Numbers According to Doc.ID 1594274.1

Depending on the startCD version used for the installation of Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2, not all the patches listed may need to be applied.

Two examples will help illustrate the principals involved:

    If you used startCD 12.2.0.46 for the installation, you would not need to re-apply the patches listed in the 12.2.0.46 section of the table. You would, however, need to apply the patches listed under 12.2.0.48, 12.2.0.47 as well as those listed under 'Not included in any startCD' for each of the technology components.

    If you used startCD 12.2.0.47 for the installation, you would not need to re-apply the patches listed in either the 12.2.0.47 or 12.2.0.46 sections of the table. This is because the content of startCDs is cumulative, with successive ones including all the content of their predecessors. You would, however, still need to apply the patches listed under 12.2.0.48 and 'Not included in any startCD' for each of the technology components.

    If you used startCD 12.2.0.48 for the installation, you would not need to re-apply the patches listed in 12.2.0.48, 12.2.0.47 or 12.2.0.46 sections of the table. This is because the content of startCDs is cumulative, with successive ones including all the content of their predecessors. You would, however, still need to apply the patches listed under 'Not included in any startCD' for each of the technology components.

Technology Inventory Utility

The Technology Inventory Utility generates a report that lists the installed technology stack components,
as well as patches that have been applied. Any patches listed in Section 3 that are not shown in the generated report must be installed.
Refer to Oracle E-Business Suite Maintenance Guide for instructions on generating the technology report.

Use VNC Server and perform the below steps and follow the snapshot on VNC Server.

Before applying any patch, Please remove the below patches if exist

The following command is a simple way to determine the application of WebLogic Server PSU.

  $ . $WL_HOME/server/bin/setWLSEnv.sh

Then follow the snapshot

And then apply the below patches.

We would like suggest you that please apply the latest patch for 10.3.6 that is 10.3.6.0.9 (Patch 19182814: SU Patch [FSR2]: WLS PATCH SET UPDATE 10.3.6.0.9)
After installing above patch then you can apply Patch 13729611: SU Patch [57GW] :10.3.6.0.9 Overlay: STATEMENT CACHE SETUP IMPROVEMENTS USING WEBLOGIC CONSOLE

And

According to Doc.ID 1594274.1 (Section 3.4: Oracle Weblogic Server 10.3.6.0 Patch and Bug Numbers)

Table 10. If your CD version is 12.2.0.46 the you have to apply the above both patches and below patches as mentioned.

Please perform the below steps (Step By Steps)
you have need to perform the following steps to upgrade to 12.2.4:

"The upgrade steps to upgrade 12.2.4 should be:

1. Make sure that you have applied all required patches for your database version, follow Document 1594274.1, Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2: Consolidated List of Patches and Technology Bug Fixes.

2. Apply the R12.AD.C.Delta.5 and R12.TXK.C.Delta.5 Release Update Packs, follow note Doc ID 1617461.1 , this patches should be applied on hotpatch mode.

3. The refer to "6.1 Path A - Upgrade and New Installation Customers upgrading to Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.4 Release Update Pack" , of note Doc ID 1617458.1


Step 1 already done.

Now perform the step 2 according to doc. ID 1617461.1 and section 3

Section 3: Apply the R12.AD.C.Delta.5 and R12.TXK.C.Delta.5 Release Update Packs (Yu have to perform PATH A)

1.) Source the run edition environment file.

$ . <RUN_BASE>/EBSapps/appl/APPS<CONTEXT_NAME>.env

2.) Start up only the Weblogic AdminServer service on the run edition application tier file system.

$ sh $ADMIN_SCRIPTS_HOME/adadminsrvctl.sh start

3.) Unzip patches and run adgrants.

    a.) Download and unzip the following patches:

            Patch 18283295:R12.AD.C.Delta.5

            Patch 19581770:R12.AD.C

            Patch 18288881:R12.TXK.C.Delta.5

            Patch 19445058:R12.TXK.C

            Patch 19259764:R12.FND.C

   
    b.) Execute adgrants by following the instructions in the patch readme of Patch 18283295:R12.AD.C.Delta.5.


4.) On the run edition application tier file system, use hotpatch mode to apply Patch 18283295:R12.AD.C.Delta.5 merged with Patch 19581770:R12.AD.C (plus additional critical patches) in hotpatch mode.

UNIX:

$ adop phase=apply patches=18283295,19581770 hotpatch=yes merge=yes


5.) On the run edition application tier file system, use hotpatch mode to apply Patch 18288881:R12.TXK.C.Delta.5 merged with Patch 19445058:R12.TXK.C (plus additional critical patches).

6.) Apply Patch 19259764:R12.FND.C (conditional).
Note: Skip this step if you are a new installation customer or upgrade customer who is applying the Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.2.4 Release Update Pack.

    a.) Stop all Application tier services on the run file system.

e.) Start all Application tier services on the run file system.

f.) Perform adop cleanup action.

g.) Synchronize file systems

            Synchronize the file systems using the command shown below.
            This action will copy the new run edition code and configuration to the other file system,
            to ensure that both file systems are in sync before applying patches using the regular adop cycle on

Steps: ---------------------- In order to Configure Workflow Java Mailer with IMAP and SMTP email servers SSL enabled, need to perform the below steps 1. Export the Certificate from the Email server.     2. Create a keystore on the Concurrent Manager Tire. Import the certificate to keystore     3.
